Our hours are from (9:00am to 6:00pm) Sunday through Saturday. If you call outside those hours you can leave your information and a customer service representative will call you back.
If your local telephone account is in good credit standing, and you do not have any other restrictions we will automatically send the calls directly to the local telephone company. If you are signed up with any alternate telephone company you will most likely receive one call and then we will have to set up a direct billing account with Reliance. Only the larger and the original telephone companies allow the collect calls to be billed to the local telephone account. All other companies do not allow collect call billing on the home phone bill and that includes CLECs, Cable TV companies, VOIP, Cell Phones, and some rural telephone companies. If you have received one call or none and you think a friend or family member is in jail you will have to set up a direct billing account. All telephone accounts that can't be billed to the local telephone company must establish a minimum $35.00 prepayment directly with Reliance Telephone.
The first time you hear from a detained person, may be your last if we can't transmit the billing to your local telephone company account. To guarantee future calls, please call our 1-800-896- 3201 customer service number to establish a direct account with Reliance Telephone. You will also save the cost of the billing fee on your local telephone company bill if you establish a direct account with Reliance.
To immediately establish an account with us today, call us at 1-800-896-3201 and have a credit card ready, or ask for instructions on how to make alternate forms of prepayment. Credit card payments are the quickest way to establish an account and we accept VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, and MASTER CARD. We also accept Western Union, Money Gram, Checks, Debit Card, Cash, and Wire Transfers.
If we are unable to bill your collect calls through your local telephone provider you must set up a prepayment account with Reliance to accept calls.
